“Mitra and Joel are both such charming, hilarious, weirdos!!! I would describe this as a very good-natured podcast; they always sound like they’re having fun together. Highlights include: Mitra’s laugh, Joel’s post-cruise rasp, responses to advice-seekers that oscillate between wacky/ludicrous/obviously-a-joke and emotionally intelligent/vulnerable/sincere, (sometimes all these things in one answer). I’d be remiss not to shout out the hosts’ ability to create a certain kind of magic through their improv skills/chemistry, mostly in the form of inspired nicknames for listeners who write/call in. Truly hilarious. Finally, thank you Joel for recently speaking truth to power when calling out Ira Glass for doing his show with a brutal cold, I felt seen.
In conclusion, I look forward to this show every week.”
