“I listened to the JFK and LBJ episodes. The one on JFK was the most vicious slander, devoid of any historical objectivity. The first and only account of the Cuban Missile Crisis that considers it a manufactured crisis that had as its source US provocation of the Soviets! Utterly absurd. Of course the usual womanising and medicinal requirements of JFK (passed off as illicit drug dependence) gets a run with the salaciousness factor turned up to 11. Pathetic. The LBJ episode was a bit less slanderous but treats the Great Society as a footnote and gives the tiresome narrative of what a terrible war Vietnam was; seems that’s no longer the exclusive refrain of self indulgent baby boomers. I’d give this podcast a miss. You’d get better history from a National Enquirer article.”
