“I listened to the Titanic episode, which was pretty weak. Most podcasts like this just seem like a kind mental fast food, conceived to make money selling ads. There’s no story here, no new insights, no “gets” with above the line talent. Instead, there’s a lot of filler about Titanic, the ship, the production in general, James Cameron’s career, etc. all of which could be found online. I thought the hosts were insincere and annoying. Basically take everything that made podcasts a promising medium, like subjectivity, passion, and intimacy, remove it and you have this podcast and a host of others.”
