As a biologically literate layperson I don't have the practical experience beyond my own (unfortunately extensive) animals' illnesses, but the detail that Shailen puts into the podcasts helps get round any parts I might not have previous knowledge of and the references help with further reading. On a person level, listening has been quite uplifting as it is great to know how really severe illnesses (like the blocked cats) can be treated nowadays and it gives me an insight to the huge challenges vets face every day. It's lovely to listen to somebody who always refers to animals as "he or she" rather than "it" - that really impressed me.

Very interesting, and so easy to listen to. Dr. Jasani has an excellent speaking voice and the sound quality is superb. I would reccomend this to anyone studying animal medicine, keeping pets, or anyone who is curious.
