“For anyone who hasn’t read Sheila Heti’s Motherhood, there is a massive spoiler about half way through the discussion which was very disappointing for me, because I had just started the book (and was enjoying it). The spoiler has now put everything in a somewhat different light. Unfortunately this was the first of the podcasts I’d listened to, and I do have to say it put me off a little. Please please start with the premise that some listeners may not have read the book, and be mindful of what might be a serious spoiler. At least give us a chance to stop listening in time.”
