Facilities and Equipment part 2
Listen now
Description
In this episode, we explore the second part of facilities and equipment in the world of volleyball. We'll discuss the substitution zone, which extends from the attack lines to the scorer's table, and the Libero replacement zone, located in the free zone next to the team benches, limited by the extension of the attack line up to the end line. We'll also delve into the warm-up area, measuring about 3 x 3 meters, and in official competitions, it's positioned in the corners near the benches or behind them if certain conditions are met. We'll talk about the ideal environmental conditions for a match, such as the minimum temperature of 10°C and lighting requirements of at least 300 lux. Finally, we'll analyze in detail the net and posts: from the height and structure of the net, including details on the top and bottom bands, to the side bands and antennae that delimit the crossing space, up to the characteristics of the posts, which must be safe, padded, and correctly positioned to ensure a regular and secure game. Join us to discover all these essential details that contribute to making the game of volleyball so exciting and well-organized.
