I think better than term limits for the Supreme Court would be a mandatory age of retirement. This would in fact work for all of Congress as well.
We have a minimum age requirements to run for office including the Executive branch. Why not have a maximum age of retirement?
Ex., if the mandatory age for retirement was 70 and someone was running for office at 68 years old and their term was more than two years, they would be unable to run or alternatively, they could run up to the age of 70, but it would only be for that one term.
Term limits are supposed to be our vote. I think retirement is reasonable, the age debatable.
