“What a marvelous concept to also have a Warner Archive podcast, showcasing lots of entertaining bygone radio programs and theater plays from M-g-M and Warner Brothers once largely unavailable. It is really interesting hear old time radio of re-anactments of the studio's movies reworked as radio theater showcases, sometimes starring even main players from the actual pictures.
The Podcast also ranges to interviews with various actors, and my favorite part of the podcast, a retrospective on Vitaphone the notable sound film technology, responsible towards the true successes of both sound on film and the Warner Brothers establishment. It presents rare vitaphone sound discs of short subject films starring many interesting bands and musicians popular in that time of the twenties, and it comes with a suprise, The earliest vitaphone disc in existence with a message from Jack Warner! Overall it's a really fun podcast.”
