“Jeffrey Goldberg is an editor. He should look at the transcripts of these programs and practice editing himself. He consistently names his next interlocutor and asks his question, but then proceeds to amplify by at least a phrase and/or a sentence to what he has just said before he allows his interlocutor to respond.
And he should watch his tendency to express his opinion of those who have been referred to, with serious consequences for causes important to him, as deplorables. He has actually made me feel sympathy for those who despise what they call the elite because his version of pompous arrogance about how right he is comes through very strongly.
The Atlantic is extraordinary and his contribution to that work is important. He can do even better by doing no harm.”
