Brilliantly Immersive
So far only a few episodes of this series have come out, but I love how the podcast series and the YouTube videos work together to create such a rich world for this story! It’s really cool to watch the YouTube episode about the making of the podcast and then get additional details through the interviews in the podcast. So far the plot reminds me of a cross between s-town and the x-files. Artemis and her brother Paul remind me a little of Scully and Mulder. She is a skeptic and he wants to believe in the improbable. It makes for a great investigative team, and in the case of Wayward Guide it lends itself to a comedic dynamic. Mary Kate Wiles is perfect casting for the lead role. She’s a great onscreen actress and she is so expressive in audio only roles. If you enjoy her performance in this I definitely recommend checking out her other projects including the Epic Adventures of Lydia Bennet audiobook. Well done Tin Can Brothers! I can’t wait to see and hear the rest of this series.

Okay so it’s obviously very good, but I actually came to say, HOLY CRAP! The gas station guy is Andrew and Andrew is the gas station guy’s boyfriend from The Solve It Squad and that’s awesome. I look forward to the rest of the series!
