Mom shame
Listen now
Description
Shame came on quite strongly for both of us during motherhood - we felt alone and isolated throughout various stages of pregnancy and motherhood. It’s one of those ugly emotions that eat at you, so we’re here to break it down and share our experiences with it. D opens up about the shame that came up on her breastfeeding journey and A shares about the shame she felt surrounding her birth experience. D&A chat through many other instances of shame they’ve experienced in motherhood and how as women, a lot of the expectations we’re ‘supposed’ to meet are impossible and often times conflicting. We’re supposed to be with our kids 24/7 and not have help, yet we’re also supposed to work and make money. We’re shamed if we take a solo trip with our husbands without our kids, yet also shamed if we don’t put our relationship first. Damned if we do, damned if we don’t.  Instagram: @wearemorethanmoms Patreon // Resources & Guides: More than Moms Unfiltered  Website + IRL community Join the Newsletter Produced by Peoples Media Hosted on Acast.
