“Having been through all the ups and downs from 2006 forward, the one I’ll choose to write about is the summer of 2015. I had just graduated High School and was writing for a now defunct sports blog, writing articles daily about how “all the Mets need is a bat to compete” and how Jon Niese was going to “figure it out” (we all know which one of these happened). Fast forward to one of the worst experience of my life, the Justin Upton go-ahead-homer game in the rain at the end of the July. It honestly felt like the world was melting when he hit that homer, with the pouring rain and delay to soon follow. I felt like a Yankee fan melting into soup like they feel when Chapman blows a game for them. The fact that it was a day game made it even worse, as we had all day to talk about how that was the lowest of lows for the Mets for the entire evening. Next thing you know, the Mets complete the trade for Cespedes, and the rest was history. This podcast embodies all of the emotions and struggles it takes to be a competent Mets fan, and to that I graciously thank you guys. I’m ready for the journey this year that’ll be nothing short of magical, either for the good or for the rest. Whatever happens, Ya Gotta Believe! LGM”
