1. Germany's migration Hotline + Nigerian Embassy reopens
Description
The Nigeria Embassy in Berlin is reopening next week, there will be new measures due to the COVID-19 pandemic, while Germany has a dedicated hotline whee you can just call and have targeted information on how to move to, and start a job search in Germany.
If you are in Germany, the hotline will also assist you with all matters related to integration.
I spoke exclusively to a government official Bettina Mueller, who is the Head of Germany’s Migration Information Service. She’ll give us details on how to use the Working and Living in Germany helpline…that is the official helpdesk in Germany where anyone can call and have all their immigration, education and job-related questions answered for free.
Peter Lambat, who’s the Minister in charge of Information, Culture and Education at the Embassy of Nigeria, Berlin, also revealed the new structures in place at the embassy and yes, he confirms there are passport booklets - note that you must go to the website of the embassy to book a spot.
And the first voice you'll hear is that of Margaret Torkura, a Youtube content creator whose channel is a bible of sorts of what to expect when you make that smart move to Germany.
