Heartbreaking
This was a gut wrenching podcast. I can’t relate to the family dynamic, thank god, but the Covid denial and conspiracy theories are all too familiar as some members of my family believe that nonsense. So I can relate to the disbelief and anger and frustration and finally the resignation whereby I won’t discuss Covid with those family members anymore for my own sanity. It’s not just an American problem, it’s worldwide. One final thought. I didn’t realize how the American medical system played into it. I feel sad over that and also grateful that I live in Canada where I’ve never been concerned over whether or not I could pay my medical bills. I hope someday that will change for Americans as well.

I don’t get the bad reviews. This was an excellent story. Not everything needs to be a high octane murder or conspiracy. Excellent lens on misinformation, beliefs, complex families, and how (in this case) it’s used by some powerless folk as a way of feeling powerful. And also a triumphant tale...Read full review »
