Description
Welcome to the podcast where creativity and design meet the ordinary and the extraordinary. I'm Miriam Prada, an interior designer, and every week, since September 1st, I take you on a behind-the-scenes journey into the fascinating world of interior design. Here, I not only share stories and anecdotes from my projects and adventures in design, but I also delve into those small but significant "little things" that bring our spaces to life. This week, I confess, I completely forgot that tomorrow is Friday. In the frenzy of my daily life, I almost skipped our weekly appointment. But, as I've committed to not letting you down after so many weeks of consistency, here I am, microphone in hand, ready to share a bit of my week, my spontaneous reflections, and, why not, a bit of my essence. In this episode, I venture to explore the meaning of working with "High Network" clients, or, as it would be translated, high-net-worth individuals. I take you through the closed doors of projects that defy imagination, where exclusivity and confidentiality are the norm. From selecting unique marble pieces in remote stonyards to anecdotes of fabrics traveling on private jets, this episode promises a glimpse into the more enigmatic and less-known side of interior design. I also talk about how true luxury doesn't need to boast; it's felt in quality, in detail, and in exclusivity designed to reflect and cater to the needs and personalities of those who will inhabit those spaces. It's a celebration of design that goes beyond the ostentatious, finding beauty in the subtle and meaning in the personalized. Join me in this pause before the weekend, to share a bit of the transformative power of design. To all who choose to listen, amidst a world saturated with options, thank you. See you (or rather, hear you) next Friday at 7 a.m. British time. Miriam Prada A bit about me... I am a Building Engineer and interior designer, specializing in high-end projects. With 15 years of experience in the design industry, I've had the privilege of collaborating with a wide range of clients, including developers, builders, real estate agents, entrepreneurs, and private clients. I've successfully completed over 25 projects in seven different countries (Spain, the United Kingdom, Bahrain, India, Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, and Switzerland) and have had the pleasure of working with clients from 11 nationalities. My most valuable project to date exceeds £50 million, and one of my notable achievements was designing a development of 16 apartments where the penthouse set a historic record as the highest-priced one-bedroom per square meter in the history of Westminster, London. Currently based in London, I continue working on multiple local and international projects. Leveraging the capabilities of the digital world, I've produced and launched this podcast, 'Atelier Prada,' where, in a relaxed and colloquial way, I address various topics in the world of interior design with the goal of sharing some of the knowledge acquired over these years.
