In this episode Jessy and Rebekah speak with Title IX expert and author of the newly published memoir, Consent: A Memoir of Unwanted Attention. This book is all about Donna’s experience being stalked by her professor/advisor in graduate school – something that seriously impacted her experience, her well-being and her career post-graduation. In this conversation, we delve into her book, her career and how difficult and weighted it is for women to come forward and report abuse when the person abusing her has so much sway over her future. It is so complicated. But even through the heaviness and the complications rest assured we still found time to laugh!

18:50: Typically when we talk about mandatory reporting we are talking about people who have reason to suspect the abuse or neglect of a child – this applies to educators, athletic coaches, etc. But it also extends to people who suspect abuse or neglect of a dependent adult or an elderly person, or really to any member of a society.
