In a world where abusers silence survivors to prevent progress, Joi’s voice is seriously a breath of fresh air! Black women in particular have been forced to swallow our trauma for fear of being labeled the “angry black woman,” so I am beyond grateful that Joi has created a safe space for our voices to be heard and our feelings to be validated. I believe that Joi is onto something big!!! She is an inspiration to people with similar stories and I hope that allies will listen and do their part to stop the community trauma. I’m excited to see what the future holds for Werk Stories and I will definitely be tuning in!
