Decent show weighed down by SJW political points
The episodes I’ve listened to have been pretty good, but they get a bit too preachy when it comes to certain topics. Getting upset over the cultural differences of an 80’s Manga/Anime that takes place in a fantasy world where dinosaurs can talk and an anthropomorphic dog is president, because of parallels drawn to our world...it’s a stretch. (India doesn’t exist in the Dragon Ball universe). It’s a bit xenophobic and very stereotypical “American” to forget that these pieces of art were made for a different audience with a different culture, not 2020 progressive White dudes from America. They also falter when injecting neo-feminism into their reviews of Tiny Toons and other shows. Let escapism be escapism. Understand what audience the art was created for. Entertainment created for boys is under attack, look at what’s happened to American comic books for example. Now, I’ll stop preaching myself. Keep politics out of entertainment, let kids be kids, and let escapism be just that, a way for folks to escape from the perils of reality.

Come on guys, we all know how much better this show would have been if you would have had Chris Antista helping out. Bob and Henry are good at their jobs but really Chris was the life blood of almost everything they have done. Even Retronauts gets 100% better when he was on. You guys need to bury...Read full review »
