Join me as I speak with United States Navy Lieutenant, Ridge Alkonis.  On May 29th 2021 Ridge lost consciousness while driving his family home from their hike on Mount Fuji, resulting in a fatal car crash causing the death of two Japanese pedestrians. In 2021 a Japanese court found Ridge guilty of negligent driving causing death and sentenced him to a three-year prison term. After over 509 days of incarceration in a Japanese prison, Alkonis was transferred to US custody and released 28 days later. Ridge talks about his spiritual wrestle and how he survived his darkest days.
