“Given that this is your first few episodes, it is to be expected there will be some issues with your delivery. Your "banter" was heavily scripted and stiff. Please don't try to sound improvised or like you can make off-the-cuff jokes, when they are clearly not improvised. Either be true to a scripted podcast or actually try to be more natural and go off script. You can't Rick us with some combination of the two.
But even more annoying and unforgivable is the audio quality of the phone call interviews you had. Please don't tell me this is an unsolvable problem in this day and age. Many people find ways to get a good mix or online webcam chat system up that records better audio quality. It honestly sounds like you put your phone up to an intercom speaker and just decided that was good enough. Please improve if you want to survive the podcast world.”
