“I appreciate you both putting yourself out there with this podcast. Some things to think about: your following gives you the platform to make a huge difference in the world.
As a fellow Mormon I can understand you not wanting to talk about your religion on your platforms and you’re brave to address this on your podcast. The unfortunate truth is that the Church right now is doing more harm than good with its culture and bigotry. With the number of suicides sky rocking in Utah, LGBTQ people being labeled as “apostates”, and women being shamed to think that women don’t deserve to be in leadership and should dress to save men from their “evil thoughts”, there’s so much more to discuss than being judged for not wearing your garments. Why do you care so much to write this epistle to the people who are judging you?!
What I hear here is that even though you want to be an active Mormon who is challenging peoples judgement, you address no real issues here that make a difference. Who cares about people’s tattoos and bathing suits or clothes or if people drink coffee or not. God doesn’t have time to care I guarantee you!! And with your attempt here to clarify that you’re Mormon and what you stand for, you are still standing for absolutely NOTHING. Poop or get off the pot here. Take a stand with the things with the church you don’t agree with that matter. Or go with the grain and don’t waste everyone’s time complaining that you’re being judged for your clothes by people that don’t matter!!! Giving those people voice in this podcast just shows how much you care what they think.”

“I really hope that non members of the Mormon church aren’t getting their information about the church from their last episode. It makes them both seem very uneducated, and I have never cringed so hard at a podcast episode before. My husband literally said “this can’t be real.””
