“It’s taken me a while to put my finger on why I don’t enjoy this channel as much as I used to. Then I realised they’d told me about the term themselves: Flanderisation. They’ve been Flanderised. Do you have rather high standards? Complain about everything that doesn’t exceed your favourite thing ever as though the booker just insulted your family. Like jokes? Spend minutes at a time getting your bits in. Are you a bit boring? Seize all joy. Do you have a habit of interrupting? Don’t work on that rude habit, do it more. Do you like trolling? Never miss an opportunity. If it hadn’t been for the weekend news crew having the gimmick of joyful competence and Miller’s being the best person on the planet, I may have gone elsewhere by now. It’s not all terrible, but there’s a lot of skipping ahead or skipping full episodes when they go into full gimmick mode now. I like both silly jokes and cynicism, but it’s gone too far. (I never liked interruptions and trolling, mind you.) The plus? They really know about wrestling, have high integrity and provide balanced analysis, putting them well above most other wrestling channels. But maybe check out Cultaholic.”
