“The story re Cannon’s defeat of her husband in the Utah Senate, also told in the Daughters if the Utah Pioneers annals, brought me to the podcasts.
Congratulations on the inclusion of this story of such a remarkable woman. This is my first exposure to this history even though I’ve been a reader of WW2 history since before the Korean War. There are a multitude of martyrs, all male, save Joan of Arc, that herald bravery beyond the common way. Scholl’s story is remarkable and wonderful. Nazi cruelty is legendary so Scholl’s end is not surprising, but the use of the guillotine is certainly horrifying.
Please curtail the use of “Yah!” as a comment to show agreement.”
