A 'must listen' for the nostalgia junkies!
I could not be happier to have stumbled upon this podcast. I have plowed through probably a dozen episodes the past few months, keeping me wildly entertained while commuting or recently on a long road trip. I’m admittedly a sucker for pop culture nostalgia, but these folks hit the sweet spot with mostly 90s movies and music. The themed episodes are amazing where several similar topics are discussed, compared, and looked at to see how well they have (or have not) aged with time. The hosts bring a critical view, personal stories, and non-stop humor to the table. I related over my love of several seminal CDs from my youth (Alanis, No Doubt, etc), fondly re-watched classic movies like League of their Own and Jurassic Park with a new perspective, and again laughed a lot along the way. Their take of the now cringe-worthy movie Ladybugs nearly had me peeing my pants, while their track-by-track review of Now That’s What I Call Music! had me reliving all the awkwardness of junior high. And I pretty much lost it when the Pure Moods completion CD was covered…apparently I was not the only person to lose my virginity to that mood-setting ‘masterpiece’, lol. That poor, poor girl. Becky runs the show, bringing sharp analysis, reflection, and wit. Meanwhile, Chris has impeccable taste, is hilarious, and I could just tell is sexy as could be. Seth is OK too. This podcast is a must listen, and I look forward to more episodes to come!

More reviews of When We Were Young
These people are talking about movies from the 80’s and they don’t even enjoy them. They don’t know how to enjoy anything or just watch something for fun. Boring, moaning about everything, no research into anything. If you want to hear people whine about everything like 5 year olds, this podcast...Read full review »

I’m shocked and appalled at your brutal attacks on Hermey’s dreams of being a dentist. Clearly you’re just a bunch of anti-dentites. Five stars.

I’ve just discovered your podcast when I had a long drive (5 hours each way). When I got to my destination I didn’t want the drive to be over as I wanted to keep listening. I especially like that you have no ads because when driving it is hard to skip the ads.
