“The assumption behind all of these “lived experience” grievance stories is that white people can never understand the subjective experiences of black people. Fair enough. But, this is only ever a one-way street. The podcast also assumes that black people CAN read the minds of other races and understand what it’s like to be white. Barbecue Becky, Crosswalk Cathy, etc were racist (according to while black narrative) because black people know their hearts and minds despite the fact that we are constantly told we can’t understand the lived experiences of others. So, these “academics” attribute the worst motives to everyone but their own in-group. How are the hosts able to get past the lived experience problem and peer into the minds of whites? And why exactly isn’t that a skill other races could possess? They have no answer. The point of the podcast? POC=good/ pure. Whiteness=bad. Heroes and villains.”
