“I was 18 years old and attending college in Huntsville on Bloody Sunday. But, as a girl growing up in Selma, I understood that any day could be a bloody one if a black person dared to do anything deemed unacceptable to the white establishment. Listening to White Lies brings back painful memories of the first 20 plus years of my life. I appreciate the research, thought, and planning that obviously went into the development of the podcast. I was totally assumed by the storytelling and look forward to listening to further episodes. Kudos to everyone responsible for this podcast. I can hardly wait to share it with others, especially since my daughter played a role in its development.”
