Description
Multi award winning actor Jonathan Pryce has been working in Theatre, Film and Television for more than five decades. His work in theatre includes an award-winning Hamlet at the Royal Court in 1980 and as The Engineer in Miss Saigon in London and New York.
He’s appeared in films as eclectic as Evita, Tomorrow Never Dies, Glengarry Glen Ross and The Age of Innocence. In 2019, he earned his first Academy Award nomination for his portrayal of Pope Francis in the film The Two Popes.
His television work includes Thomas Wolsey in Wolf Hall, the High Sparrow in Game of Thrones and Prince Philip in the final two seasons of The Crown.
His breakthrough screen performance was in Terry Gilliam's satirical, dystopian, black comedy Brazil and David was delighted he agreed to talk to him about that experience earlier this year.
