“Clearly put an awful lot of work and research into pod, know their stuff, and just generally seem like good guys.
Unfortunately, the pod really sounds like it’s being read out almost verbatim from notes, rather than an actual conversation. The weekly themes don’t help this, though I appreciate they’re trying to have a bit of fun and do something a bit different, they often seem incredibly shoehorned in.
Also, referring to players/competitions as they’re talked about on twitter is fine for notes, but again doesn’t translate to live discussion. No-one says “The UEL”, or “Raz” out loud.
Check out their online articles, they’re great and very insightful! Just doesn’t quite translate across to the audio medium for me, Clive”
