Never finds its feet
There is some obvious passion behind this, but it never finds its feet. The dual narrators is fine, but the characters are flat and unappealing, possibly (deliberately) overdramatised pastiches of American teenagers in a murder mystery. The sound design and mix is muddy (so many overlapping tracks that obscure the story). I kept listening, hoping that it would elevate from “fine” to “good,” but it didn’t get there for me.

Fun, heartfelt, well produced, creative — this is the whole bag. I listen to a ton of audio dramas and can honestly say this one is at least as good as anything with major studio support and star-studded casts
