Patsy
As soon as Reiner mentioned “patsy” without repeating the complete quote, this podcast took the wrong turn in telling the accurate history of the Kennedy assassination. That single word’s meaning changes completely when the entire sentence is repeated. Mr. Oswald, while being paraded around the Dallas Police Station on the evening of November 22, 1963, with the place crawling with news men and women said, “They’re taking me in because I lived in the Soviet Union. I’m just a patsy.” This wasn’t a person pointing to a conspiracy, this is an individual who is claiming that his association with the USSR were the principal grounds for his arrest.
