Uninspired Comedy & A Lack of Movie Knowledge
I am a general fan of the Maximum Fun network. I enjoy J J go and the Judge John Hodgman podcast. So I came to Wham, Bam Pow hoping to enjoy it. However having listened to several episodes I find myself continually disappointed by this podcast. My main problem with this podcast is that the three hosts seem to lack the breadth of knowledge one would expect from people making a movie podcast. It is not only that they seem to have a limited understanding of the genres they chose to cover, they also seem limited in general film knowledge. I know that humor is subjective and their humor is probably not aimed at me . Therefore I will not pass judgment on their humor except to say that I constantly feel as if they have forgotten they are in a comedy podcast. There is clearly some segment that enjoys this podcast so I suggest you give it a try and see if you enjoy it. However, if you find it unfunny or uninteresting I suggest you stop listening since it does not get better. I recommend either Flophouse or How Did this Get Made (particularly the more recent episodes) both of which have well informed and funny hosts.

This was a great idea. I'm a very loyal maximum fun fan and love the stuff that they produce. This is on one of my favorite topics.Read full review »

The cast of this podcast is basically who is going to crush comedy in the coming years. Cameron, Rhea, and Ricky are each extremely funny, unique voices. Their chemistry is also delightful. Don't miss out!Read full review »
