“As if keeping up with all the new keywords to block on your pages isn’t enough (you know, the fake accounts commenting and tagging real people with bogus product links, etc), I can’t imagine how large corporations report legitimate metrics on their social campaigns. I’ve always feared that the “audience” I’m paying to advertise to is heavily inflated with fake accounts, or worse, “clicking” & charging ads throwing budgeted ad money away. The rising rate of bots and spam on social media has been my biggest headache as a marketer. It makes me hate parts of marketing that I used to love.”
