Description
Parents do you feel that most of your time is either spent with your kids or with your daily commitments, such as work? I remember those crazy busy days with our four kids! I’m also on the other side of parenting...now I’m the parent of adult kids. The one thing that I do know for sure is that time goes quickly, and it’s so easy to let our relationships with our spouse or partner, sit on the back burner. I see this happen quite often with parents that I work with. They don’t intend to let this happen but it does. One of my homework assignments that I give to parents is to make a commitment to create date nights. My suggestion is usually met with resistance and many reasons why it’s difficult or not even possible.
So today I decided it was time to have a conversation and debunk those reasons and excuses!
I’ve invited my guest Kristin Maneiri (http://www.facebook.com/GreatDatesOrlando) to join my conversation. For Kristen, (mailto:Twitter @Gr8DatesOrlando) date night isn’t a luxury; it’s a necessity. Married with two small girls, she’s realized that Saturday night is probably the only time each week that she and her husband can actually have a meaningful, uninterrupted, and alert conversation. Her website, the Orlando Date Night Guide, (http://www.orlandodatenightguide.com) was created to inspire other couples to reinvest in a regular date night and since 2007 she has posted more then 600 different ideas. Kristen is also a freelance magazine writer and author of the book, Great Dates Orlando. Kristen is going to be offering a free giveaway, The Guide to Having More Date Nights, at the end of the show.
Hope you’ll join us!
