Fantastic new slant on horror chat
I’m always looking for an alternative take on the horror podcast. Far too many horror-centric shows are macho bro-chat, with too much gatekeeping and ‘edgelord’ humour. This is a warm, funny antidote. The host Alison is great at directing chat, and offers enough of herself to make it a conversation rather than just a Q@A, but she also lets the guests shine. It’s given me a new appreciation for films I’ve previously disliked ( but not The Shining) and also introduced me to a whole raft of stuff I’ve yet to see. It’s about as pleasant a listen as you can have, when you’re talking about dismemberment.
