The answer to what podcasting was lacking is finally here
Easily one of the most engaging podcasts I’ve listened to in a long time. I’ve followed McGowan’s work for several years, and this podcast matches the clarity, precision, and engagement of his written work. McGowan is a former professor of mine, so perhaps I’m biased. But with that said, if you want to understand how psychoanalysis and critical theory work, then listen to Why Theory.

Honestly, this is petty of me. I really enjoy the podcast, I just wish Ryan didn’t punctuate every sentence with ‘like’. The convention is generally excellent, but I struggle getting past all the ‘likes’. As I said, petty. But there you have it.
