The case of Channon Christian and Chris Newsom is one of the most shocking and brutal crimes in Knoxville, Tennessee's history. In January 2007, the young couple was kidnapped, tortured, and murdered in a senseless act of violence. The case seems to have no reason for occuring other than the victims were simply in the wrong place and the wrong time.
