“Well, I’ve nearly completed Season 1, and I’ll have to say I’ve been totally enthralled by vicariously joining these folks on their wilderness endeavors, and learning so many little “hacks” of the trade. I’m a photographer that’s still quite wet behind the ears, and here’s what draws me to eagerly continue to listen to these podcasts…
First and foremost, they make it crystal clear that the well-being of the animals are of utmost importance. With plenty of zoom power and ample planning and patience, these guys are wonderful stewards of Mama Nature, and are still able to deliver indulgent wildlife content, both still and videos. I actually came across the Wild and Exposed Podcast through North American Nature Photography Association (NANPA) website. NANPA uses nature photography as a means to promote conservation and preservation of our natural spaces and the inhabitants, so to have this podcast promoted by them speaks volumes.
Secondly, while these folks are top notch professionals in visually documenting wildlife behavior, they are so good-humored, down-to-earth, humble people are aren’t afraid to share what they’ve learned, failures and all. So, I’ve personally learned so much, from animal behavior/biology and geography, to how to create visually compelling stories and the gear to do so, all while having my share of belly laughs listening to their sometimes hilarious experiences.
So yes, 5 stars, and I’d highly encourage folks to jump on and come along for the ride.
Sam R.”
