“While rigorously studying the Charlotte Mason method, I was on the path to becoming a “purist” without even realizing it. While this is perfectly fine for some homeschool families, it began to feel like a standard I personally couldn’t achieve on a consistent basis. As a result, I felt guilty most days for what I perceived as failure. This podcast has given me the balance that I needed, granting me “permission” to simply live out our school days learning in a way that is natural for our family. Some days the “method” is thrown out the window, but that’s ok! Through this podcast I have come to realize I don’t want to create geniuses according to the world’s standards. What I want is for them to have a happy childhood, to grow up loving God, appreciate the beautiful handiwork of His creation, and never stop learning!”
