“This podcast comes at a time when controversy over the wild turkey status and management is at an all time high. Information from research has been misquoted, misunderstood and misdirected at times. Dr. Lashley and Dr. Gulsby have brought about a much needed interpretive media connection between landowners/ hunters / managers and the academic world. Finally, the wheat is separated from the chaff. And all of this in an enjoyable format that does not dodge the difficult (I.e. not popular) topics. I have listened to every episode and eagerly await the next. No matter your experience level with either turkey hunting or land management, I feel certain you will find many pearls of wisdom concerning this wonderful bird as well as a deeper appreciation for efforts to keep it abundant in numbers for generations to come.
