Adaptive Harvest Management
What prevents states from performing an annual state-level adaptive harvest management program for turkeys, like the USFWS for waterfowl? Turkey hatches are so cyclical that it would make more sense to adjust the bag limit or stain seasons annually, if necessary, rather than implementing a 5 to 10-year plan. Some states don’t even know how many turkeys they have, so an adaptive harvest management program would be near impossible, I’m sure ~Joey Bell, Tennessee

Really appreciate the info on the life and cycle of the birds. Increases the admiration for what it takes for a gobbler to reach maturity, and what these birds in general have to overcome to survive.

Too much nervous and forced laughter by one of the presenters. These episodes could be half as long without all the chit chat. It takes forever to get to the meat of the matter.

I’ve heard these two on so many other media outlets, I feel like I know them. They’re the best at what they do. The podcast is presented in a clear yet entertaining manner. Keep up the good work.
