“First of all, after listening to a couple of episodes I find the show refreshing and plan to listen in the future. World of Warcraft as an unintentional model of pandemic? I never would have suspected without your podcast.
I do, however, take exception to your judgement on how bare bottoms could possibly be considered not to be family friendly. You say that everybody has one, so how could showing it be a problem? Seems like you could make the same argument for breasts and penises.
The question, in my mind, is the film-makers intent. Is it to titillate? (sorry, getting my body parts mixed up.) Daryl Hannah has an especially nice looking butt. Boys entering puberty are probably going to be aroused.
And your “panel” of parents is kind of ludicrous - a few parents you know should be the authority on what is family friendly?
The CGI does look ridiculous and Disney should have left the butt bare. But I don’t think it’s something all parents would comfortable viewing with their children, so they should use a partial nudity disclaimer, as they do with racially denigrating cartoons. Just sayin’”
