“Guys,
The trend of calling JDL, “the Kerr Kriisa of Wildcat football”, is a bit troublesome to me. Not necessarily because it’s inaccurate or an insult to either player, but because I prefer to think of JDL as a ‘maverick’. Or perhaps, THE Maverick!
I think ‘fans’ would be better served thinking of JDL as a swashbuckling fighter pilot, who occasionally gets in a fist-fight with his mates and has been known to buzz the tower a time or two.
I know, I know; interceptions, fumbles, helmet butting a DB . . . but he’s OUR Maverick!
