Definitely worth listening to
Another GenX who had & loved the yellow Little House box set & really enjoyed this podcast… I loved the host & the deep dive into the history of Laura & her family… my only issue was the inclusion of the conversations with the executive producer… I see the point of using that device but I found her difficult to listen to & it was as if she was trying a bit too hard to be clever .. otherwise gladly went along on this journey of nostalgia while also learning so many new things

I am so glad I read the books to my daughter instead of letting her read them on her own. We both learned so much as we discussed the racism. She didn’t end up reading past the long winter and went on to other books.

For transparency sake, I loved the books as a child, but didn’t watch the series regularly. But, as an adult I’ve grown to recognise the problems with the stories. I, too, have the Little House stories woven into my DNA. I feel so connected as I listen to this podcast. So many interesting details and I appreciate the input from all the sources. I can’t wait for the next episodes! Thank you for putting this series together!
