Mostly interesting.
The history, back story and cast interviews were all very informative and engaging. However, too much speculation presented as fact. And if we can’t give a woman who was born 2 years after the end of the Civil War leeway on on insensitive language, not sure how the rest of modern humanity fares.

I’ve never read this series but love tough analyses by people who have deep connections to the work, especially when they deep dive into the author’s life. This podcast is great.
