I thought it was just me
I always thought Pa was selfish. I wondered how Laura could love a man who would sacrifice his family, and to share his selfishness to the whole world. My one lingering memory from the books was Laura crying over the Native American baby. It just amazes me how this was considered an art form. I am glad it’s being exposed for its truth about Manifest Destiny. Thank you for validating my feelings about this horrific time in American history. It’s not nostalgic, it’s tragic.
