I loved these books as a child
And read them repeatedly. Thank you for creating this scholarly, current analysis of them. It is helping me understand how they influenced my thinking in positive and negative ways. I am in my sixties and read a lot of YA fiction because it is so much RICHER than what was available to me at that age. For your next project: I’d be curious about your take on Louisa May Alcott’s books which were also favorites of mine. Or maybe I’d rather not know! ;-)
