Approximately a hundred one star reviews in the first day🤔
Obviously these reviews are getting brigaded by far right sympathizers. So far I’ve seen such insightful commentary as “anti-patriot” and “waste of time” among many of the four and five word reviews accompanying one star ratings. What I haven’t seen is any actual critique of the journalism and reporting done by the team that produced and assembled this in depth and professional podcast. It’s weird that constructing simple timelines and editing together corroborative interviews would be so triggering for people. If someone takes issue with the reporting compiled here, they have all the time and the space in the world to write a detailed and thoughtful rebuttal. In all the negative reviews I’ve read for this program I have yet to see a single reviewer dispute any of the facts presented in this program. What I have seen are a lot of ad hominem attacks and low rent wordplay. There’s also a lot of deflection and evasion sprinkled in these reviews. I read one reviewer’s last sentence several times trying to understand what exactly they were trying to convey. They wrote, “If everything in this podcast were true, then why was no one charged with insurrection?” This is, of course, classic deflection. The reviewer here is trying to change the subject and move the goal posts. They are also conveniently ignoring the fact that about 700 people have been charged in relation to their roles regarding January 6, and that some of these people were in fact charged with sedition. If you think the use violence and intimidation in furtherance of one’s political aims is acceptable, just say so. It’s a free country. No one is stopping you, but barring any substantive criticism of the substance of this podcast, I’m left to believe that those leaving one star ratings and unserious reviews view the events on 1/6 as completely within bounds for our country. Something tells me this podcast is going to become the next 1619 Project. What I mean is this podcast seems destined to become the next boogeyman far right sympathizers and their enablers point to when it comes to expressing their persecution fetish with one dimensional virtue signals. Kids, violence is bad. Fascists are bad. This shouldn’t be controversial, and the creators of this podcast don’t deserve the asinine reviews and ratings being left here. If you can’t clearly and articulately express your issue(s) with this podcast in a serious way, maybe you’re just ok with what happened on a day so chilling and weird that even Mike Pence, one of the most party-line Vice Presidents in my lifetime, refused to get in a car being driven by Secret Service agents because he didn’t trust their intentions or loyalty to their country. Say it with me again: violence is bad. Simple.

More reviews of Will Be Wild
I just couldn’t listen to this podcast very long bc it’s just garbage and not factual. That was NOT an insurrection or an invasion. They were let in to the capital building and Pelosi asked for less security that day as proven in an email. It is laughable to think people still eat this...Read full review »

Waste of time

Will Be Wild is so gripping: storytelling at its best, as Bernstein and Maritz unravel the things that led to Jan 6. What they found will surprise you. The characters are brave, inspiring and larger than life. You can be sure I’ll be listening to every episode!
