“As a native Texan (albeit an anchor baby Texan son of Arkansans who had the good sense to move to Texas before birthing me), I’ve always loved Texas history, particularly the Texas Revolution and specifically the Alamo. Ken Wise covers those events but he has opened my mind to many other events as well. From the great camel experiment to the Galveston hurricane to the San Antonio chili queens (by the way, thank you for the strong stance on beans. They aren’t in chili. I’ll refrain from the tomato sauce dis us doin for now). I only discovered Wise About Texas a few weeks ago and I’m already up to ep 47 out of about 79. Looking forward to more.
