Modelling how to have a conversation with someone who has a different opinion
Wow! Fantastic podcast! In times when the art of having a decent (both senses) conversation with someone with whom you disagree seems to be lost Megan and Michael lead the way. The sweet irony is that the genesis of this was an interaction on FB about a topic they disagreed about. FB is rife with poor examples of discourse, but this is a cut above. It would not surprise me if they ended up with a radio segment at some stage.

The information in these sessions is great but what I listen for is the example of people differing with each other without shouting or shutting up. Yay!

Powell du Toit and Jensen give an excellent and much-needed examaple of how to conduct public discourse on matters of disagreement. They speak with firm convictions, a desire to listen and a readiness to acknowledge common ground.
