“I am a huge Harry Potter fan and I love listening to analysis by fans as well-read on the series as I am! Every time I worry Wizard Team may have missed a small detail referenced in a later book, Bayana saves the day and brings it up! It is always nice to hear insight from their occasional guest hosts as well.
That said, I am giving this podcast only 3 stars because Robyn’s behavior grates on my nerves. She’s constantly going on tangents related to her own life, which connect - if at all - only loosely to the text, and she loves to rant about how “stupid” all of the characters are (particularly Harry, himself). I am all for thoughtful analysis of the series but this is not that. I frequently wonder why she participates in the podcast at all since she seems to dislike the books altogether. She yells, whines, and even ignores Bayana’s reading and attempts at discussion if she doesn’t like the chapter. I often fast-forward in 30 second increments when she starts talking to get to the substance of the podcast.
I love the podcast but I think Robyn and Bayana would benefit from some editing.”
